Special Grants Program
Application Process

Special Grants recipients are chosen by a selection committee of board and staff members at Steamboat Foundation based upon the following criteria:
- Outstanding individual who has the support of a reputable organization
- Work with a focus on impoverished individuals and/or communities
- Exceptional ethical and reputational bona fides
Steamboat seeks to leverage its investment in the leadership of Steamboat Scholars by encouraging alumni of the Summer Scholar Program to apply for Special Grants.
If you are interested in applying for a Special Grant, please email a 1-2 page letter of inquiry to Steamboat Foundation's Executive Director, Eden Werring. The letter of inquiry should include the qualifications of the applying individual and/or organization, the population to be impacted, and a description of how the grant funds are to be used.
