Stacie graduated from Syracuse University with a major in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations with a minor in anthropology. In her collegiate career, Stacie interviewed a wide variety of people from the greater Syracuse area for class broadcast stories on topics ranging from animal adoption to the search for a local missing teen. Outside of academics, Stacie competed as a member of Syracuse University's Division I track and field team. She ran the 800 meters, 400 meters, 4 by 800 meter relay, and distance medley relay. She is a school record holder in the 4 by 800 meter relay and competed in both the indoor and outdoor Big East Track and Field Conference Championships. A dedicated student, Stacie earned a Chancellor’s Scholarship upon her admission to Syracuse and was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Over the course of the summer, Stacie split her time between the Big Show and sales department of WPLJ and the web design and programming departments of WABC. In the sales department of WPLJ, she listened in on sales calls and discovered how advertisements are placed on the air. The web is becoming a growing force in the communications industry, and Stacie was also able to help design banners and edit video for the WPLJ website. Over in the WABC newsroom, she conducted story research for the Curtis Sliwa program and also edited and collected audio for broadcasts.
Stacie is currently living in southwest Thailand, teaching English as a second language. Prior to moving to Thailand, Stacie worked as an IT Project Coordinator for the Consular Affairs branch of the Department of State in Washington, DC. She ran the Marine Corps Marathon in 2010 where she qualified for the Boston Marathon. She also competed in the San Francisco Marathon in July 2011.
