Allison Stangeby, Director of Community Relations
Normally accustomed to spending his summers working as a counselor at Coleman Country Day Camp, he values the power of teamwork, dreaming big and always bouncing back. While working last summer at 5W Public Relations in Manhattan, he gained valuable insight into how to effectively conduct media outreach and utilize today’s landscape of social networking. During the school year, he devotes time working in Boston College’s Student Admission Program, conducting university tours and conversing with prospective students. Seeking a new experience during his junior year, he studied abroad in the Basque Country of San Sebastian, Spain, where he improved his Spanish, indulged in the exquisite local cuisine, and worked weekly on his salsa moves. A lifelong Giants fan, Paul embraces the important life lessons that the world of sports teaches people and is prepared to spread this passion throughout his career.
Paul was happy to facilitate monthly donations to local nonprofits, contribute to the redesign of the Community Relations web page, attend meetings regarding the opening of the New Meadowlands Stadium, edit press releases for the upcoming season, and assist in the planning of season initiatives such as Back to Football Friday, the Play 60 physical fitness campaign, and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. He was also able to accompany a few players at an appearance to benefit the Wounded Warriors project, witness the filming of PSAs featuring different players, and lend a hand when various area high schools visited the training facilities to spend a day playing in a 7 on 7 football tournament coached by Giants players. The summer was capped off when Paul went up to Giants Training Camp in Albany, NY to greet and entertain VIP guests who he had corresponded with throughout the summer. By providing these eager fans an extraordinary camp experience which culminated in many of them meeting some of their favorite players, Paul was able to experience firsthand why the Giants organization is highly regarded as a classy, genuine, and humble member of the NFL.
Paul graduated from Boston College in May 2011 with a B.A. in Communications and minor in Sociology. He is currently a community liason and communications assistant in the office of New York State Assemblyman Harvey Weisenberg.
