The Editor-in-Chief of her high school newspaper, Michele developed a keen interest in print journalism that turned into a passion for news radio when she was a reporter for WAER Jazz 88, an NPR affiliate in upstate New York. On her first day at WAER, she accompanied the News Editor to a press conference, where she was able to interview former New York Governor George Pataki. A first generation college student, Michele dedicated her time at Syracuse University to her sorority, Delta Delta Delta, as Vice President of Chapter Development, in charge of fraternity standards and internal affairs. After graduation, Michele worked in the Advertising & Sales Digital Department at WCBS in New York City.
Michele pursued her interest in radio broadcasting at WABC & WPLJ Radio under the mentorship of Steve Borneman, President and General Manager of WABC and WPLJ, and Linda Wnek, Diversity Recruitment Coordinator. There, Michele worked on The Scott and Todd Big Show, New York City’s longest continually running morning show, collected and edited audio for both the John Gambling Show and the Sean Hannity Show on WABC, and wrote daily newscasts and conducted interviews for WABC’s morning show. Michele loved her summer experience so much that she returned to WABC during winter break of her senior year to continue her work with the news team.
She is currently the New York Network Operations Manager for GBTV, Glenn Beck's new network.
