At six-foot-one, Emily has always felt most comfortable on the basketball court or soccer field. A two-sport star athlete in high school, she has fostered a passion for sports on and off the field, working with the Athletic Media Relations department for Football, Men’s Basketball and Hockey throughout her college career. Emily also applied her drive and curiosity to her studies, graduating cum laude from Boston College with a minor in Faith, Peace & Justice, which offered her an opportunity to explore questions in those areas and how they relate to concrete initiatives for social justice and philanthropy. As one of only a few women on the sports management team at the Giants, Emily sees her work experience as a source of motivation to make productive changes to the industry.
Emily worked with the Public Relations department to coordinate player interviews at the NFL pre-season training camp as well as various public relations projects throughout the summer, including archive development and press release writing. During her internship with the Giants, she was able to see firsthand the media's demands on players, coaches, and certain staff members. This experience sparked her interest in working with the players on various issues such as degree completion, counseling, and financial education as positive ways to deal with the stress of their current jobs and prepare for different jobs after their playing days are over. She pursued this interest immediately after graduation by accepting a job as the Player Development Coordinator with the team.
After serving as the Giants' Player Development Coordinator for two years, Emily transitioned into her current role as Marketing Coordinator focused on client services and special events.
