The daughter of a Haitian immigrant, Danielle wrote in her Steamboat application about the obstacles her mother faced raising two daughters in a poor Brooklyn community. Danielle demonstrated similar perseverance when she was accepted to Prep for Prep at the age of ten and became a National Achievement finalist in high school. A graduate of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton, Danielle earned her certificate in African-American Studies and wrote her senior thesis on water scarcity in South Africa after spending a semester abroad at the University of Cape Town. Outside of the classroom, Danielle was involved in two Princeton dance troupes, tutored for a pre-school early training program through Princeton Community House, and participated in fundraising efforts benefiting Operation Smile, a medical charity that repairs childhood facial deformities.
The first Forbes intern ever to receive the distinction of a contributing author, Danielle did outstanding work on the first drafts of over 50 biographies for the 2004 Forbes 400 issue. She calculated data from SEC filings and interviewed the assistants of billionaires and the high net-worth individuals themselves.
Danielle worked as a strategic consultant at Public Financial Management in New York City and is now attending Harvard Business School.
