Dan Tham's journalism interests lie in videography and documentary filmmaking. He is double-majoring in journalism and international studies at Northwestern University. Tham spent three months of the summer of 2011 in Berlin, Germany, working at ALEX TV and one month in Dharamsala, India, working on a documentary about young, exiled Tibetan filmmakers. Then in the fall of 2011, Tham took part in a three-month, 14,000-mile road trip around the United States with Professor Loren Ghiglione and a fellow student. They followed the path of Mark Twain, reporting on stories of American identity, from race and ethnicity to sexual orientation, from immigration to socioeconomic issues. Tham is eager to work with the other Steamboat fellows and Forbes Media and to experience an exhilarating summer in New York City.
